Kelly's Story

Hi my name is Kelly and I am 18 years old. I am now 6 and a half months and at 15 weeks I was given a chance to see my unborn baby. It was very good to see him and to hear that everything was going good. I was told that my unborn child was possibly a boy and it was later confirmed that I'm having a son. The chance to see my child and see his little hands and feet, and his face, and see how big he was and to see him suck his thumb was amazing, I thought I would have to wait until I was about 20 weeks but to actually see him at 15 weeks really made me realise that I was going to be a mum.

Family Life Crisis Pregnancy Centre gave me this chance and I am very grateful. I am going to be a single mum and they have given me help since I first asked for it, their door is always open to me. By coming here every Thursday for about 4 hours I have made many new friends who are also pregnant or new mums, I get the chance to play with other babies and get myself ready for when my own comes, I know that when that day arrives I will have lots of people to help me along with anything that I need it.

I also come to the Centre every Monday for about an hour or so to meet up with Joan, who helps me try and gain the qualifications that I didn't achieve while I was at school.
