Mothers Support Group
Our 'Mothers Support Group' meets every week at Bethlehem House.

The purpose of the group is to provide support, encouragement and friendship for current and ex-residents of Bethlehem House.

The group is not exclusively for first time Mothers; we also welcome Mums and their preschoolers.

Our Mothers Support Group offers women who attend the chance to:

    * Develop friendships and share experiences of motherhood
    * Reduce feelings of isolation, loneliness and disempowerment
    * Give and receive emotional support and encouragement
    * Build self esteem, confidence and acceptance of oneself and others

18 year old Kelly says: “I have been coming to the Mothers Support Group since I was 13 weeks pregnant. I have made lots of friends who are also pregnant or new Mums. I get the chance to play with other babies and get myself ready for when my own baby comes. I know that when that day arrives I will have lots of people to help me along with anything that I need."

32 year old Adrianna says: "We are a group of women lost and lonely. We want to be happy and want our babies to be happy too. I am 18 weeks pregnant on Monday. This is a place I find hope. I have nobody in New Zealand . Bethlehem House is the only family I have.”
